Counseling Philosophy
I strongly believe in looking at the whole person and think that everyone can thrive in every aspect of their lives when their social and emotional needs are understood and acknowledged. My focus in therapy is to provide support to children, teenagers, and adults in a caring and non-judgmental relationship. In this space, I help individuals explore their experiences, emotions, and goals. I have faith in each person's ability to become more self-aware, grow personally, and make decisions for themselves.
My approach also emphasizes the connections between thoughts, emotions, and actions. I work with individuals to recognize and change thoughts and behaviors that may be unhelpful and contribute to distress. My aim is to help people develop more positive, adaptive thinking patterns and coping skills. Ultimately, being able to support others on their journey toward mental and emotional well-being gives me a sense of fulfillment and purpose.
